Our retreats are not just yoga retreats, they are transformational experiences. In a short period of time you will be able to go deep within yourself, escape from daily stress, find balance or simply learn new tools for your own daily practice.
The main theme of our retreats is the breath and how our breath is vital to optimizing our health. We will explore the breath either through Kundalini Yoga, Breathwork or Sound.
We aim not just for high quality teachers we also very much focus on the surroundings, such as eco friendly retreat centres in the nature, high quality organic food and as much local support as possible. We believe our retreats help to heal and transform you, and we want to make sure everyone can attend no matter the cost, and are usually offering a few spaces for volunteers and work-exchange possibilities.
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.”
WHY R.P.Y. RETREATS?
Our workshops offer high quality material and will be facilitated by international teachers. Our teachers bring variety and a background of many years working with transformation and healing. Our retreats are usually suitable for beginners in yoga and healing work and also helps to develop advanced practitioners.
We will create a sense of being at home and being held in a sacred space to allow transformation to happen. We will be a unified family and welcome a range of age, culture and background to experience this magical journey together.
This retreat seemed to offer the possibility to pass some calm days to deepen my yoga practice and letting go heavy thoughts. The combination of relaxation, meditation, yoga and enjoying life playfully just seemed what I needed. As I already knew Mela as a friend and yoga teacher I was sure she would offer that kind of yoga style I like. Spending time with her beautiful and radiating soul is always refreshing and motivating. Also, the place seemed to be the perfect place to find inner peace. It was an inspiring experience and I could let go and relax deeply. I was remembered of what I really love in my life. I highly recommend this retreat. We were spoiled with tasty fresh food, awesome yoga classes and wonderful surroundings on this farm. There are great energies and the owner and his family is awesomely open-hearted and open-minded.
A friend told me about this retreat. I was curious about learning something new and to discover a region I have never been to (Alpujarras). For me as a yoga beginner, it was a perfect opportunity to discover a lot about myself and my physical conditions. The teachers supported the class members on their individual levels. I had the chance to spend some very nice holidays in a beautiful Finca.
Mela teaches very effective yoga classes on a level that is pleasant and relaxed and even has a sense of humor. In addition to the yoga philosophy, her food and nutrition knowledge permeates her classes which I find very valuable. Because Mela is a professional nurse, she can also share precise information about anatomy and answer a wide range of health questions. One can sense that she has learned many different styles of yoga and practices them herself. I always feel safe and cared for in her classes and therefore strongly trust and recommend her teaching abilities.
Mela is a very skilled teacher with a big variety of practises (Kundalini yoga, Nutrition, Anatomy, Acro yoga etc.). She combines her knowledge and skills with practical examples/ exercises. In this way you get a better understanding and is it applicable into your daily life. She teaches with passion, love and laughter what energizes.
The true pursuit of yoga is not for the faint of heart. In Mela Mariposa, whose gorgeous acquaintance I was fortunate enough to make on the island of Koh Phangan, Thailand, you will find the heart of a tiger, a peaceful warrior and a true teacher of light. Despite my brief time in her company and under her instruction, her countenance and energy left a lasting impression on me. Our modern world of yoga is permeated by a very particular type of falsity and I am not easily impressed by your average yoga instructor. However, Mela works from the heart, a deep place of knowing, and is a teacher with whom I would trust my practice as well as my friendship. I look forward to working with her in the years to come and admire her absolutely. Her classes are well-balanced between breath work, spirituality and strength and her character is rich, attentive and honest. Mela is beautiful, inside and out, and she provides a fierce light to all she encounters. A gift onto this world!
